The BioBridge Asia-Pacific Conference 2018 “Generation Regeneration” was held on 23-24 February in Sydney and our own Dr Paraskevas was in attendance.

This international conference focused on platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments. Local and international speakers showcased the latest developments in musculoskeletal medicine and aesthetics medicine, with a special focus on advancements in PRP.

Platelet Rich Plasma is a combination of platelets and plasma derived from a small sample of the patient’s blood. When spun in a centrifuge, the platelets and plasma are separated from the red and white blood cells and administered to the treatment area. At Dr Paraskevas’ clinics we offer PRP for facial and periorbital rejuvenation, joint tendon, ligament rejuvenation, chronic venous disease and Lipodermatosclerosis, and hair loss.

Here is the demonstration presented of PRP/HA and PRP/fat mixtures using a nano filter.

At Sculpture Clinic, a mixture of nano-fat and PRP are used in all fat transfers, particularly to the mid face. PRP in combination with fat not only helps with soft tissue and skin rejuvenation but also takes advantage of the stem cell benefits of fat.
