When you get down to the nitty gritty, there is actually a range of liposculpture procedures that can be undertaken to surgically remove fat from problem areas around the body. Each have different applications but are designed to give great results and reduce recovery times.
At Sculpture Clinic, there are two modern variations of liposculpture we offer: laser-assisted lipolysis and vaser liposculpture. Let’s look at each one. Both types of liposculpture are performed under local anaesthesia using a special form of anaesthetic referred to as “tumescent anaesthetic”.
Laser-assisted liposculpture uses ‘laser energy’ to melt the fat cells and make them easy to remove with a traditional liposuction tube. The surrounding vessels are cauterised reducing bleeding and bruising from the procedure.
Vaser Liposculpture uses ultrasound waves to break up and liquefy small or large areas of fat, while leaving the surrounding areas unharmed. Once the fat has been liquefied, it can be suctioned out using the world class VentexTM Suction Cannulae or a powered cannulae such as the Power XTM or MicroAirTM devices.
