Hips & Waist Liposculpture
It is very common for many women to have excess fat through the hips and back area (underneath the bra strap), especially after having children but also as they get older.
Bunching up of some skin into folds just below the bra strap area is a tell tale sign of excess fat in the back. Fatty deposits can also cause fullness at the level of the bra and in the flank region.
Excess fat in the Waist and Hips results in a “Square” appearance of the torso. It is common to see women carry excess fat in this area with age or after pregnancy. Removing fat from the hip region and from the area above the buttocks, will help create a better back arch and transition from back to buttocks. This in turn will make the body look more feminine and youthful.
Liposculpture of the hips and back can be combined with a Brazilian Butt Lift (Autologous Fat Transfer to the Buttocks) for a near perfect silhouette.
Liposculpture vs Liposuction
Liposculpture is a safer and more effective form of Liposuction that can be performed on an outpatient basis, without the need for general anaesthetic and with less down-time and post-operative discomfort.
Liposculpture is ideal for removing fat from areas of the body otherwise resistant to dietary modification and regular exercise. It is not intended as a means for generalised weight loss.

Women's Hips & Back Liposuction - Key Facts
How long does liposculpture of the hips and back take?
Most procedures will take from between 2-3 hours to complete.
What areas can be treated?
When performing Liposculpture of the hips and back region, it may be important to treat the abdominal fat as well, to ensure a more uniform and streamlined appearance. Most, if not all patients requesting treatment of their love handles will also request treatment of their stomach as well.
Who are the best candidates for this treatment?
Anyone with excess abdominal fat in the back region will benefit from this procedure. If you can grab a role of fat with your hand in this region, Liposculpture will be extremely beneficial.
What support garments are required?
A special Lycra Bodysuit Garment will be issued immediately following the procedure. This will be worn for at least 4-6 weeks for the best results and for faster recovery. At Sculpture Clinic, we use the very best Garments which provide comfort and effective compression.
How much time off work will I need?
Generally speaking, we advise 3-5 days off work. You are to avoid heavy lifting and exercise for at least 3 weeks. You may not reach full capacity until at least 6-8 weeks.
Is liposculpture of the hips and back permanent?
Fat that is removed during liposculpture of the hips and back will never come back.
Are there any scars?
The small entry holes used to pass the fine cannulae, are approximately 2-3 mm wide. These small holes are never to be sutured and will settle very quickly, becoming barely visible after several weeks.
What is the cost?
The cost of this procedure will vary according to the number of areas that require treatment and in particular if areas such as the abdomen is treated at the same time. There are also “Theatre” and “Consumable” fees which are added to the overall fee.
An accurate costing will be provided to you following your initial consultation and will be discussed in depth with our patient advisor.
